The provider isn't available right now.
A configured provider didn't respond, or the operator turned it off mid-flight.
What happened
Citadel asked the provider (GitHub, Google, etc.) to authenticate you, and the provider either didn't respond, returned an error, or is no longer wired on Citadel's side.
What to try
- Try again in a minute or two. Provider outages are usually short. The provider's status page (e.g. githubstatus.com) is the authoritative source on whether their auth surface is up.
- If the provider button has disappeared from the sign-in funnel since you started, the operator has disabled it. You can still sign in with email + password or a magic link.
- If the issue persists for more than 15 minutes, contact support and quote E-identity_provider_unavailable.
